River Severn /Severn estuary salmon

So, here we are 2021..........In 2019 the E.A. closed all the remaining Traditional salmon fisheries on the Severn estuary however still allowed an unlimited amount of anglers to keep an unlimited amount of salmon after 16th june until 7th October on the river Severn.........

The N.R.W. 2020 habitats regulations assessment on our Severn estuary fishery concluded (using a figure of 15 salmon ) we are a threat to salmon stock and must "catch & release " resulting in our fishery's closure and we would be catching the same fish as the river Severn angling fishery..........

Perhaps we should all apply for rod licences and keep as many as we like.
