The day was the biggest and best yet . Supported by our local community and folk from far and wide . Without our fishery this would be another facet of our community and country life that would just disappear. This day almost 20 years ago started with a few family & friends .........
All our hard work is now coming together with our 2019 open day this saturday . Chepstow coast guard ,S.A.R.A. , Sudbrook museum & Weston bay shrimpers will be supporting our day. There will be" lave net training" & " guess whats in the box " for the children, an exhibition ,demonstration and film of lave netting and refreshments are available . All are very welcome to attend this family / community event .

Our Black rock lave net fishery facebook page ,a suggestion by Matt. our youngest fisherman has really taken off with well over 2000 followers. we try to keep this fresh with our lives on the estuary throughout the year with many different things all built around the Lave net fishing . Always worth a look !
