Our salmon is now making it's way up one of the rivers travelling from pool to pool depending on weather conditions.

now fair game for poachers..........watchers of the river. A landing net ,a gaff , a "Hoop" , a drift net ,methods are varied .

A deterrent once was the Bailiff and not the day 9-5 time brigade , hard nosed men who knew the score ,the when , where & who

An informed poacher is well capable of quickly clearing a pool of salmon & these days there is little deterrent for the masters of this game ........... but then again NRW say that there is little poaching going on these days..........LOL
