An offer to NRW

Black rock lave net fishermen have made a significant offer to N.R.W . and the Senedd . In return for being able to keep a token amount of salmon which would keep the fishery alive we will reduce our maximum permitted take (15 as per our lease ) by 300% to a maximum of 5 per season for the group of 8 fishermen .

Also an offer to become a "Scientific fishery " collecting data so that NRW & the Senedd can use this data to improve fishery management. There is provision in byelaws for this.

We have sent this letter to their Monmouth office addressed to the principle fisheries advisor at N.RW. Mr Peter Gough

NRW 2020 Habitats Regulations Assessment used the figure of 15 salmon to calculate our "impact " on stock.
