A sewage discharge at low tide
Save the wye campaigner Angela Jones witnessed this close to Lydney upstream of our lave net fishery during the week.
Sewage being discharged at low tide , there had been little rain (The usual excuse ) over the previous weeks.
On top of the sewage stink a strong aroma of chemicals...........What is being added to the sewage to get the bacteria level down ?? and what effect is that having to life on the estuary ??.
The EA would have permitted this .....wonder if the discharge times were stipulated or what additives could be included in the discharges ??
