A River Wye crisis

Our Black rock lave net fishermen have been spending plenty of time this season on the river Wye and are witnessing an absolute car crash regarding our salmon stocks .

At no time have we seen anyone from NRW / EA .

Every time we go there we are witnessing DEAD & STRUGGLING salmon . A perfect storm .A hot dry summer (Yes, we do get them from time to time ) combined with high pollution levels (See Save the Wye FB page ) low water levels (Abstraction continues ) all leading rapidly to low oxygen levels.

DO NRW / EA EVEN HAVE A PLAN to deal with the situation are they even aware what is happening ..............They should . Don't forget what NRW told the public and our fishermen "every salmon matters " seems not where they are concerned .
