A few new ideas

With concerns being expressed over the salmon stock levels on the river Usk here's a few new ideas for NRW / EA / Government.

A three month season (As we have ) Two days no fishing during the week (As we have ) A salmon limit (as we have ) Limit the numbers of anglers fishing (as we have ) Limit the numbers of salmon caught in the fishery (as we have ) Sell a licence for the specific fishery (as we have ) conduct a habitats regulations assessment for anglers impact on salmon stock on the river they fish (as we have ) Make it compulsory to fill in a catch return (as we have )

Or as they just going to continue as they are ............One things for sure the river pollution issue is now out there for the world to see . How on earth did this slip under the radar for so long . We now know another reason why closure of all traditional salmon fishing over the years made no difference to stocks on our rivers .

Perverse , to coin a phrase .
