A dry spell
It is a well known fact that during a dry spell salmon hold up after entering the river Wye system in the vicinity of Chepstow castle.
For Sammy the seal and friends this will be like shooting rats in a barrel to coin a phrase.
The seal colony is on the increase now and as they are a protected species they are free to make their home on the river ,seen ranging up as far as Llandogo last week (they follow the flood )
Salmon for breakfast & Shad for tea .
Pic .Son of Sammy with a Shad last week . Takes a few pound of fish every day to keep these fellows happy.........
