2022 Black rock lave net fishery season

So ,the season has ended ( 31st August ) . Fishing effort was down by 95 % ,the group did not meet ,Net house / visitor centre was not opened , no interaction with visitors to Black rock , fishing dates not advertised ,no salmon caught & no open day . The heritage fishery is no longer a community hub or tourist attraction .

In short destroyed . Sad end to several hundred years of Welsh heritage. This will make no difference to salmon stocks as closure of every other salmon fishery on the Severn estuary did not.

At least the truth is starting to come out of the bag now as to how our rivers are being overseen . Lets hope the Welsh government are taking note of how the wool is being pulled over their eyes .
