A colossus

The amazing sculpture of a Black rock lave net fisherman was given a lave net yesterday by Sculptor Chris Wood .

This is a fantastic tribute to our fishery and indeed all traditional Severn estuary fishermen of the past.

Right on the wales coast path and adjacent to the net house / visitor center that we built in 2006 .

ICONIC is not to big a word for this . What an artist Chris is !

SADLY the last lave net fishery in Wales remains firmly closed due to the catch restrictions imposed by Natural resources Wales that we and others consider to be unfair ,unjust and prejudicial against our fishery.
