An amazing tribute

The Sculpture of a Black rock lave net fisherman is at last complete . An amazing piece of work by Sculptor Chris Wood .

The piece is made from a 300 year old Welsh oak tree..........

Positioned on the wales coast path overlooking our severn estuary fishing grounds this will form part of a sculpture trail commissioned by the our living levels project to whom we are so very grateful to for including our ancient fishery.

The sad situation is that as things stand due to the ongoing Natural resources Wales attack on our fishery the Sculpture will be no more than a monument to all that was on the estuary regarding traditional salmon fishing & our efforts to preserve the last lave net fishery in Wales..........
