So.......a Habitats Regulation Assessment has been used by N.R.W. to further restrict our catch which they say averages 5 salmon a year between us.

We asked to see a H.R.A. on the river rod fisheries of the Usk & Wye (not that we have an issue with what they do ) These fisheries which actually fish for salmon on the rivers which are places of special scientific interest are by far the biggest killers of salmon (Even when fishing "Catch & release )

" Licencing of rod fisheries do not trigger a HRA because rod licences are not site specific ,they have no location other than England & Wales " ..........

One law for us another for these fisheries. Very convenient
