Hard fact

Our fishery's allowed catch is based on ....and we quote NRW . "The mortality rate of the Wye rod fishery ( fishing catch & release ) or any other relevant weakest stock. Also capped as terms of an agreement "

If all rod fishery's were catch and release the would still "kill " around 20 % of the catch .

"Catch & Release is a rod fishery restriction and not one that we would agree to .

Every salmon which is caught in our net is de-scaled & it's fins split......In short it would not survive.

A pointless exercise .

Yet some would seek to mislead the powers that be for their own ends........
