A model heritage fishery .

If "heritage fishery's " are to survive in the 21st century then they could do worse than to look at our lave net fishery.

For the past 20 years we have fought to keep this ancient fishery on the estuary .

The salmon fish limit (facilitated by the welsh assembly & E.A. ) 11 years ago , recently renewed by NRW is key . Also the promotion of the fishery as a tourism / heritage site .

Interest is high ,We have been contacted by southern Irish traditional salmon fishermen who are interested in the way we have preserved our Cultural heritage, they are planning a visit
