Who said lave netting was easy.....A little bit of our recent history.

From 1998 until 2008 our lave net fishery was under constant threat from the Environment agency of closure or restriction . This changed in 2008 when we were invited to the welsh assembly by the then Minister for rural affairs Elin Jones.

The meeting resulted in the Welsh assembly / E. A. agreement which allowed our fishery breathing space for 10 years and allowed it to come back from the brink , thrive and develop into what it is today .

This would not have been possible without huge public support , the backing of our A.Ms , M.Ps , councilors and many others .
