END OF OUR LAVE NET FISHERY ?

The agreement . has worked well for all concerned.

This Monday we meet with Natural resources Wales at Black Rock . This is the 10th and last year of the present agreement forged by the Welsh assembly government and the fishermen and agreed by the Environment agency as sustainable.

We have asked to renew the agreement now as we have possible commitments into 2019 and this is causing much uncertainty .

The agreement with all its restrictions has actually worked very well with the fishery unlike others thriving and surviving and we thank all concerned for that.

With a fresh approach by the newley formed NRW and general improvements in stock on our local rivers we are optimistic this will be a simple matter and hope to conclude this business quickly.
