People often ask why we work so hard at the lave net fishing ...... To fish in the footsteps of our ancestor's with other like minded fishermen and friends is a great thing , to experience the thrills, danger and rewards fishing on the estuary is worth more than almost anything else , the anticipation of the coming season , to be able to pass on the skill taught to us by passed generations of fishermen keeping this knowledge safe for future generations to enjoy , hard work and just reward , the simple pleasure of fishing a perfect tide , the thrill of the chase and the occasional reward of a salmon !
