Matthew learning the ropes
A few more weeks until the lave net fishing season begins and time for another trip onto the estuary.
Gaining confidence on the estuary is a big part of the lave netting and matt the youngest member of the Black Rock lave net fishermen is learning quickly.
He is the future and will someday skipper Salar our salmon fishing boat.
On his boat Gotcha under the wing of Martin on Golden Dawn he soon found the fish and out fished him , Well done !!
Conger , codling ,dogfish , Ray and 4 surprise Rockling made up the catch ,a beautiful spring day on our home waters !
