OUR HERITAGE UNCOVERED

More storms in the estuary have uncovered several more ancient fishing baskets / traps on our fishing grounds long buried in the mud and clay . Similar baskets have been recorded by CADW and Reading university in the past and dated between the 12th and 14th century's . Fishing must of once have been of great importance to the local economy in this area .
