SHIP WRECK !

A big spring tide gave two of the boys a chance to check around the fishery prior to the season at low tide walking out from Black Rock to the mid channel Gruggy reef under the new severn bridge and beyond. Our markers seem fine and reports of a net on the edge of the reef turned out to be a sheet of trawl netting long lost . The wreck of the steel ship "John " which sunk in 1945 on the reef is always of interest to look around.
