Last tide of the season

As if on queue the wind arrived with the last spring tide. The s/west 20mph wind held up the ebbing tide and gave us no chance of seeing a salmon.

Good chop passing under the bridge and tricky to moor the boat up . Paul walking out to the Grandstand lost most of his fishing too for the same reason .

The 2016 season despite excellent runs of salmon on the rivers ended on a really disappointing six salmon despite good efforts by the fishermen , scant reward for risking life and limb ,dragging yourself out of bed at 3AM to fish then going to work , but that's why they call it fishing not catching !

That said just a few minor injury's and everyone lived to tell the tale !

Our end of season Chillie and Baa brewery beer at the net house tonight will complete the season.
