A NRW " success " !

Due to the further 2022 NRW catch restrictions (Habitat regulations assessment conclude we are a threat to salmon stocks ) on the last lave net fishery in Wales ,fishing effort has once again dropped by 90 % in June.

Our net house / visitor centre has not been opened once , there has been no interaction with visitors to the fishery , the group has not fished together or met , most peripheral things built around the fishery have ceased .

No salmon have been caught , boat has not been moored in the estuary (again )

Skills are being lost and the fabric of what has been built over the decades lost.

Cultural vandalism in our view .

Was this ever about salmon stocks ???? In our view NO . This was purely an agenda of clearance with perhaps a little bit of revenge for fighting our corner over the past decades .

WELL DONE NRW FISHERIES DIVISION AND ALL THAT SUPPORT THEM . A " success " at last
