A porpoise vertebrae of all things was found by one of our fishermen west of the lave net fishing grounds whilst collecting bait .
Cymdeithas enwau lleoedd Cymru visited our fishery to record the names we use for places on the fishing grounds ,surrounding areas and other points of interest . Great to record everything on a chart in welsh for future generations .

A visit by our lave net fishermen to our fellow traditional fishermen at Weston on the other side of the estuary . A great bunch ! Thanks to all for the warm welcome and hospitality

A fitting tribute in our village to all that took part in wars , Armistice & the centenary commemoration . Several of our original lave net fishermen were active in the 1st & 2nd world wars .

A reward of walking our fishing grounds out of season !
A recent visit to Denny island turned up a ringed dead bird . we took the ring and discovered it was ringed 125 days previous on Denny by the Goldcliff ringing group .
